- Participatiefonds Duurzame Economie Noord-Holland (PDENH) and Sustainable Future Holding (SFH) together invest Euro 3.5 million in ConnectBike.
- ConnectBike hereby strengthens its service organisation in the Benelux, Switzerland and enters the UK market.
ConnectBike has been active since 2019 with the aim, among others, of marketing the electric delivery bike with appropriate service and financing in Europe. In doing so, Connectbike is responding to the strongly growing demand of delivery services for sustainable transport. Together with Giant, Connectbike has developed a special electric delivery bike that meets the heavy user requirements that this market demands. ConnectBike customers include Just Eat Takeaway, Domino's Pizza, de Beren, Getir, Taco Mundo and Burgerme.
ConnectBike is active in the Benelux, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. With the investment from PDENH and SFH, the organisation will be able to market 1,250 electric delivery bikes through its own leasing company in the Benelux, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
"The ConnectBike proposition fits well with our sustainable investment objectives. The electric delivery bike will increasingly replace its fossil counterparts such as scooters and cars, also in our neighbouring countries," said Joost de Waard, Investment Manager at PDENH.
Hans Bosman of Sustainable Future Holding says: "We are happy to take this step, because we want to contribute to a better climate through E-bikes. We are convinced that ConnectBike is excellently positioned to become a major player in the European E-bike market.
