SAY HELLO TO A SUSTAINABLE OFFICE

In 2022, sustainability is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. Also at the office. You can save money, but the biggest advantage is that you contribute to a better world. Here are a few simple tips to reduce the carbon footprint of your business.

THE ELECTRIC BICYCLE, THE MOST POPULAR

Last year, people travelled much less by public transport, filled their leisure time differently and the options for sports were rather limited. On the other hand, more and more people went out into nature, because shops, cinemas, restaurants and the like were closed. In addition, people had more money left over1 because, for example, many expensive holidays were cancelled. This left most people with enough money to afford a nice bike. This is why people are increasingly embracing pedelecs. For example, large-scale research by Multiscope2 has shown that an estimated 1.2 million e-bikes will have been sold by 2021. This is an incredible number compared to 2019, when the number was only 420,000.

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY: THE SOLUTION FOR CLEAN CITIES WITHOUT TRAFFIC JAMS

The climate is changing worldwide. The conclusions of the report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which was published in 2007, speak for themselves in this regard. It is also clear that we - as human beings - are the main cause of these climate changes through the burning of fossil fuels and through industrial and agricultural activities.

THE MONEY IS ON THE CYCLE PATH

Things are not going well for today's commuter. The big cities are becoming more and more congested, and both home and office are becoming increasingly difficult to reach. Colleagues come out of the traffic jam stressed and frustrated. And often they are late. Because they still have to find a parking space, of course. And the spots they can find are expensive. Things are not much better on public transport during the rush hour. Crammed compartments and the risk of delays is always lurking.
